Mexico economic landscape sees Nestlé investment and industrial growth

Mexico is seeing significant economic activity driven by industrial investment and infrastructure planning. Nestlé has announced a commitment to invest $2 billion in Mexico through 2030, focusing on expanding production capacity in sectors such as coffee, pet food, and infant nutrition, with specific projects in Toluca, Guanajuato, and Veracruz.

In the State of Mexico, the government is planning a new development pole in Toluca to attract investment in advanced manufacturing, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and electromobility. The state has also solidified its position as the second-highest recipient of foreign direct investment in the country, reporting 271.3 billion pesos.

During the 50th anniversary of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), President Claudia Sheinbaum met with business leaders to discuss economic growth and infrastructure. While the President highlighted multi-billion peso investments in housing, railways, and highways, CCE President José Medina Mora urged the administration to maintain fiscal responsibility, reduce the deficit, and protect the country's credit rating amidst a shifting global trade landscape.
