Estação Cabo Branco promotes visual arts and local Paraíba artists

The Estação Cabo Branco – Ciências, Cultura e Artes in João Pessoa has evolved from a center for scientific experiments into a prominent hub where art, culture, and science coexist. Designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer, the facility now dedicates 80% of its exhibitions to local Paraíba artists.

The venue showcases a range of talent, from veterans like Flávio Tavares, whose work ‘O Reinado do Sol’ is part of the permanent collection, to emerging artists such as João Neto and George Paiva.

This weekend, the station features an exhibition by the late Paraíba artist, writer, and researcher Nivalson Miranda (1927–2013). His work, ‘Brasil em Miniaturas’, consists of small watercolors depicting landscapes, monuments, and urban scenes of Paraíba and Brazil, serving as a detailed record of cultural identity and heritage.
