Esteban Campos departs Deportivo Saprissa after 14 years

Esteban Campos has departed from Deportivo Saprissa after 14 years as the director and manager of Medical Services for the club and the Saprissa Medical Center. The departure follows a decision by the club to eliminate the specific role of Medical Services Manager.

Saprissa clarified that the medical center will not close. For the men's first team, medical care will continue under the responsibility of Dr. Allan Soto and the club's physiotherapy staff. The club is moving toward a new medical service model involving partnerships with private clinics or hospitals, a move described as administratively and economically advantageous.

Dr. Campos will continue his private practice and his ongoing work with the FIFA Medical Committee, a position he holds until 2029, as well as his commitments with Concacaf.
