Esteban González leads Querétaro to top standings in Liga MX

Chilean manager Esteban ‘Chino’ González is receiving significant praise for his performance with Querétaro in Mexico’s Liga MX. Following a successful tenure with Coquimbo Unido in Chile, González has led Querétaro to a strong position in the Apertura tournament standings.

After a recent 2-0 victory against Atlante, Querétaro moved into third place with 20 points, trailing the leader, América, by only one point. The team has demonstrated notable defensive stability, conceding only 8 goals in 10 matches, making them the team with the fewest goals conceded in the competition. Local Mexican media and commentators have described his tactical approach as ‘highly effective’ and consistent.

Former player Fabián Estay has also commented on González’s success, noting the team’s order and solidity under his leadership. Estay suggested that González’s performance in Mexico makes him a potential candidate for the Chilean national team coaching position, emphasizing the importance of having a national manager for ‘La Roja’.
