Esteban Lazo visits economic and social sites in Matanzas

Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People's Power, conducted a series of visits to economic and social sites in the Matanzas province of Cuba.

During his tour, Lazo visited the Provincial Medical Genetics Service and the Comandante Faustino Pérez Provincial Clinical-Surgical Teaching Hospital. At the hospital, discussions focused on the modernization of medical services, including the implementation of a new digitalization system for patient records and statistics, the acquisition of diagnostic equipment, and the installation of photovoltaic systems.

Lazo also inspected new container-based housing units in the Pueblo Nuevo neighborhood, which are scheduled for inauguration in September. These homes, costing approximately 2 million pesos each, are intended for vulnerable populations and will be furnished by the government before delivery.

Additional stops included the Metal Forming Company and the Canímar Popular Council, where Lazo engaged with residents regarding community integration through the ‘Mi Barrio por la Patria’ initiative, emphasizing the importance of security and community participation.
