Esteban Ontivero awarded 1.828 million pesos after defamation court ruling

The Civil and Commercial Court of Río Cuarto in Córdoba ruled in favor of former footballer and reality‑TV participant Esteban Hernán Ontivero, ordering his ex‑partner Tania Elizabeth Aguilera to pay 1,828,000 Argentine pesos plus interest. The payment stems from defamatory posts Aguilera made on the platform X during Ontivero’s appearance on Telefe’s Gran Hermano 2024, accusing him of abandoning a pregnant woman. A DNA test later proved Ontivero was not the father, prompting the legal claim.

Ontivero accepted the verdict but warned that the indemnity may not be paid immediately; administrative delays could postpone receipt for several months, possibly up to a year. He expressed fatigue with the prolonged legal battle and said he will use his experience to advise others facing similar false accusations.
