Estefanía Mercado supervises City Center Recovery Plan progress

Municipal President Estefanía Mercado has supervised progress on the City Center Recovery Plan during a working tour of Avenida Juárez and the Federal Highway. Accompanied by Public Services Secretary Julieta Martín Azueta, the mayor reviewed coordinated efforts to improve urban image, security, mobility, and cleanliness for residents, local businesses, and visitors.

Key infrastructure actions include 186 square meters of pothole repair, cleaning of 1,537 storm drains, and the desilting of 10 absorption wells. Additionally, 18,600 linear meters of curb painting were completed. Public lighting improvements involved installing new metal posts, rehabilitating 38 luminaires, and laying 197 meters of cabling.

The plan also includes urban painting and reforestation efforts on several major avenues to restore green spaces. Furthermore, environmental sanitation inspections in neighborhoods such as Aviación, Centro, Gonzalo Guerrero, and Zazil Ha identified 24 vacant lots with accumulated waste and debris, leading to administrative proceedings.
