Esteghlal and Persepolis derby tentatively set for September

The 107th Tehran derby between Esteghlal and Persepolis is scheduled to take place during the fifth week of the new Iranian Premier League season. Following the league draw, Esteghlal is designated as the home team for the first leg, with the return match planned for the twenty-second week.

September 3, 2026 (12 Shahrivar) is currently considered the most likely date for the match, as the Football Organization of Iran has identified September 2 and 3 as possible windows. However, the date remains provisional. The final schedule is subject to coordination with the Iranian U-23 national team's calendar and the schedule for Iranian clubs participating in the AFC Champions League and AFC Champions League 2.
