Esteghlal FC reassigns number 10 jersey to Jalaluddin Masharipov

Following the departure of Ramin Rezaeian from Esteghlal FC, the club has reassigned the number 10 jersey to Uzbek midfielder Jalaluddin Masharipov. Masharipov had previously worn the number during training before Rezaeian's arrival in 2024, making this a return to his original designation.

Regarding the circumstances of Rezaeian's exit, former Esteghlal player Mohammad Momeni has criticized the professionalism of the departure. Momeni noted that while contract disputes and low release clauses may have played a role, Rezaeian should remain grateful to the club that helped elevate his profile to the national team. Momeni suggested that the club's management faced challenges regarding contract adjustments and highlighted potential errors in how player contracts were structured.
