Estepa products commemorate 500th anniversary of Charles V and Isabella of Portugal marriage

The Regulatory Council of the Protected Geographical Indications (IGP) for Mantecados and Polvorones de Estepa is commemorating the 500th anniversary of the marriage between Emperor Charles V and Isabella of Portugal. To mark this historical event, which took place at the Royal Alcázar of Seville, the Council has released limited-edition promotional cases.

The marriage between Charles V and Isabella of Portugal united the Spanish and Portuguese monarchies, creating a significant alliance in 16th-century Europe. The imagery used for the special edition was provided by the Casa de Alba Foundation (Palacio de Liria), allowing for a direct historical reference in the product packaging.

These limited-edition cases will be distributed during various promotional and cultural events throughout the current campaign, including activities held at the Royal Alcázar of Seville. The initiative aims to link the tradition of Estepa’s local products with European history and cultural heritage.
