Estepona Marathon attracts over 1,500 runners for debut

The inaugural Estepona Marathon, titled ‘Maratón Estepona Jardín de la Costa del Sol’, has surpassed 1,500 registered participants for its debut on October 11. The event features a significant international presence, with nearly half of the runners traveling from abroad.

The race will start and finish at the Estepona Municipal Athletics Stadium. Organizers noted that the high registration numbers exceeded initial expectations for a first edition, aiming to establish the marathon as a permanent fixture on the long-distance running calendar while promoting regional tourism.
