Estepona nears completion of 20,000-square-metre La Boladilla park
A new 20,000-square-metre park is nearing completion in the La Boladilla sector of eastern Estepona. The project is in its final stages, with workers currently installing public lighting and street illumination before the area is opened to the public.
The park will feature two children’s play areas equipped with inclusive elements for children with reduced mobility, a 1,000-square-metre multi-sport court, and outdoor biosaludable exercise circuits. The landscape design includes approximately 300 leafy and ornamental trees, naturalized meadows, and Mediterranean shrubs. To manage resources, the site includes pedestrian paths and a remote-controlled automatic irrigation system designed for water conservation.
Developed by a promoter with authorization from the Estepona Town Hall, this project is part of a broader expansion of green spaces in the outskirts of the municipality. Other recent or planned developments include parks in Bel-Air, near La Resinera and Las Joyas, at the entrance to Cancelada, and near the Estepona Hospital.
