Estepona police arrest seven Serbians after villa torture raid

Spanish police have arrested seven Serbian nationals in Estepona following a raid on a villa used for kidnapping and torture. The investigation began in the early hours of September 5, after a woman contacted authorities because her partner failed to check in as promised after attending a meeting.

Upon arriving at the property, officers encountered masked men and rescued two injured victims, aged 31 and 45. Investigators discovered a room specifically equipped for torture, lined with plastic and containing items such as a chair and a hammer. Weapons found at the scene included two AK-47 assault rifles and pistols.

The suspects, aged between 24 and 35, are suspected of involvement in a criminal network engaged in cocaine and hashish trafficking, as well as extortion, operating across multiple Spanish regions. Police believe the two victims may have been members of the same criminal organization and were tortured due to internal group conflicts.
