Estepona to host inaugural Garden Costa del Sol Marathon

The first edition of the Estepona Garden Costa del Sol Marathon is scheduled to take place this Sunday, October 11. The event expects more than 1,700 participants to compete in a 23-kilometer course along the coastal areas of Estepona.

Mayor José María García Urbano presented the event, noting that the route starts and ends at the Estepona Municipal Athletics Stadium. The course is designed to showcase the Mediterranean landscape and the city's coastal scenery. The Estepona Athletics Club assisted in designing the route and recruiting over 500 volunteers for the event. Spanish athletics legend Martín Fiz is also expected to attend the debut of the race.
