Ester Expósito stars in Prime Video's 'Enfrentados: Marfil

Prime Video is releasing ‘Enfrentados: Marfil’, a new romantic suspense film starring Ester Expósito. Based on the first novel of the ‘Enfrentados’ duology by Argentine author Mercedes Ron, the film marks a continued collaboration between Ron and the streaming platform following the success of the ‘Culpables’ trilogy.

In the film, Expósito plays Marfil Cortés, a young woman from a privileged New York background whose life is upended by a kidnapping. After her release, her father, a powerful Spanish businessman, hires a bodyguard named Sebastián Moore, played by Hugo Diego García. The plot follows the tense and dangerous attraction between the two as they navigate a web of secrets and conspiracies related to the abduction.

To prepare for the role, Expósito underwent training in self-defense and boxing to portray the character's physical and emotional evolution. She noted that training with co-star Hugo Diego García, who has experience in boxing, helped build the on-screen chemistry required for the action-oriented thriller.
