Esther Sedlaczek reflects on life-changing trip to Sri Lanka

German presenter Esther Sedlaczek has shared how a trip to Sri Lanka profoundly shaped her life goals. During her television comeback with ‘Die große Maus-Show’, the 40-year-old reflected on a formative period following her high school graduation.

While teaching English to children in Sri Lanka, Sedlaczek experienced a sudden realization regarding her desire to become a mother. This period, occurring one year after the devastating tsunami in the Unawatuna region, also taught her that happiness can be found even with very little. She noted that the local people demonstrated an ability to make the best of their available circumstances.
