Esther Walson-Jack honored by President Tinubu upon retirement

President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, honored the outgoing Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Esther Walson-Jack, during a book presentation in Abuja. The event marked Walson-Jack’s retirement after more than three decades of public service.

Walson-Jack authored two memoirs, ‘Beyond the Mandate’ and ‘I Planted’, which document her experiences and leadership lessons in public administration. President Tinubu, represented by Minister Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, praised her career for its institutional perspective and her commitment to leaving a legacy for future generations.

Minister Sulaiman-Ibrahim highlighted Walson-Jack’s ability to foster unity between ministers and permanent secretaries through a non-partisan approach. During the ceremony, the Minister suggested that Walson-Jack’s record of competence makes her a potential candidate to become the first female governor of Bayelsa State.
