Estonia announces major climate and renovation investments
The Estonian Ministry of Climate is advancing significant environmental and infrastructure investment plans. Under the approved draft state budget, 160 million euros are earmarked for the renovation of apartment buildings.
Additional funding is designated for the construction of four-lane highways, the Rail Baltica project, and the implementation of Estonia’s long-term energy plan.
Separately, the Ministry has introduced a working version of a nature restoration plan. This initiative includes 36 specific measures intended to be implemented by 2030, with a broader vision extending to 2050. The total estimated cost for the nature restoration plan is 900 million euros, which aims to provide support and incentives for landowners and rural areas rather than imposing new restrictions.
