Estonia implements educational strategy to combat digital anxiety
Estonia has launched a government-led initiative to combat digital anxiety among youth through education rather than prohibition. The Estonian government has established a council of ten experts tasked with designing prevention measures and improving digital literacy for children and adolescents.
The strategy focuses on providing tools for minors to understand digital risks, manage screen time, and develop healthier digital habits. Instead of banning social media or video games, the initiative aims to prevent screen dependency, constant digital stimulation, and the emotional impact of online dynamics by fostering conscious and safe technology use.
