Estonia investigates suspected Russian sabotage in Milrem Robotics arson attack
Estonian authorities are investigating a suspected arson attack at a facility used by Milrem Robotics, a defense contractor that produces unmanned ground vehicles used in Ukraine. Prime Minister Kristen Michal stated that investigators are exploring a line of inquiry involving potential Russian sabotage.
Preliminary evidence suggests the fire, which occurred in Tallinn, was deliberately set. Estonian prosecutors have identified suspects and requested their detention. Reports indicate that two suspects were detained in Latvia, and authorities are working toward their extradition to Estonia.
Milrem Robotics, which is majority-owned by the UAE-based EDGE Group, confirmed that the incident has not disrupted its production or the supply of its THeMIS unmanned platforms to Ukraine. No injuries were reported during the blaze.
