Estonia Tops 2026 Global Relocation Index

Estonia has been ranked the world’s best country for relocation in the 2026 Rumavi Global Relocation Index, placing first among 192 nations with a score of 72.8 out of 100. The index, which evaluates 24 metrics across financial‑tax, livability‑health, safety‑stability and settling‑opportunity pillars, gave Estonia top marks for its banking and currency system (99), business opportunity (96), property rights for non‑citizens (90), housing affordability (82), green space (86) and street safety (77). The country also scored highly for its startup ecosystem (89) and ranked first for families, second for entrepreneurs, sixth for digital nomads and ninth for retirees. Singapore follows in second place, with Malaysia, Portugal and Taiwan completing the top five. The strong performance highlights Estonia’s appeal to international companies and remote workers, reinforced by its Digital Nomad Visa and support from Invest Estonia’s relocation guide.
