Estonian AI adoption grants exhausted within hours

The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Foundation (EIS) has launched a 2 million euro grant program to support Estonian companies in adopting artificial intelligence solutions. Each project is eligible for up to 20,000 euros to help businesses move from isolated AI experiments to systematic implementation.

Applications were opened on Monday, August 24, but the program closed within hours after the requested amount exceeded the allocated budget. The initiative aims to reduce risks associated with AI adoption and enhance competitiveness, productivity, and export capabilities.

To qualify, companies must be registered in the Estonian Business Register and have had a minimum sales revenue of 200,000 euros in the previous fiscal year. Projects are expected to last up to nine months and must demonstrate concrete impacts, such as improved cost-efficiency, increased sales, or business process automation.
