Estonian Air Navigation Services launches digital NOTAM service with Frequentis

The Estonian Air Navigation Services (EANS) has placed Digital NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) into operational use using Frequentis' CADAS product suite. This marks one of the first operational deployments of digital NOTAM in Europe and supports the shift to a fully digital, interoperable Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) system.

EANS officials said the service provides structured, machine‑readable flight data that enhances safety, improves efficiency and enables seamless information exchange. Tatjana Armulik, head of AIM at EANS, called the launch a key step in the agency’s digital transformation, while Josef Kutschi, CEO of Frequentis Comsoft, highlighted the collaboration as establishing a common AIXM‑based data base and laying groundwork for future concepts such as SWIM‑based exchange and Trajectory‑Based Operations.
