Estonian artists Siiri Jüris and Heli Press hold solo exhibitions

Two solo art exhibitions are opening in Estonia. In Tartu, the Tartu Kunstimaja is hosting a solo exhibition by landscape painter Siiri Jüris titled ‘nagu kaja mustjas, soojas videvikus’. Curated by Peeter Talvistu, the exhibition features works created by Jüris in Sweden over the last five years. Her work focuses on landscapes and the presence of human hands as a means of connection and care.

In Paide, glass artist Heli Press is presenting an overview of her work titled ‘Ta lendab mesipuu poole’ at the Paide Culture and Music House. The exhibition, which includes a concert, celebrates Estonian identity and nature. Press, who previously worked in Finland, has a background in stained glass and has exhibited internationally. Her glass pieces include depictions of various figures, including Estonian politicians.
