Estonian athletes compete at European Athletics Championships

Estonian athletes competed in the men's decathlon at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. Johannes Erm, the defending champion, maintained a competitive position throughout the events.

In the decathlon disciplines, Rasmus Roosleht and Karel Tilga both moved into the top ten following the high jump. Roosleht achieved a personal best in the shot put with a throw of 15.88 meters. In the 400-meter sprint, Erm secured first place in his heat with a time of 48.07 seconds, followed by Skotheim, Tilga in third, and Lillemets in fourth.

In the women's events, Ann Marii Kivikas reached the 200-meter semifinals after recording a season-best time of 23.16 seconds in the heats, ultimately finishing 20th overall with a time of 23.34 seconds.
