AI usage rising among consumers in Lithuania and Estonia

A survey conducted by Norstat for the fintech platform Adyen reveals that nearly half of Lithuanian consumers have used artificial intelligence to assist with purchasing decisions. Consumers primarily utilize AI to compare products, quickly review features, and identify items that best meet their specific needs.

This trend has caused concern among approximately one-third of Lithuanian retailers, who fear a loss of direct customer relationships and visibility into the consumer journey as shoppers migrate toward AI platforms. However, experts suggest these platforms could also serve as new sales channels that help companies increase revenue if utilized correctly.

Similar findings are noted in Estonia, where research indicates that one in three Estonian consumers has utilized artificial intelligence during their shopping processes.
