Estonian cultural events mark the end of summer

Estonia is preparing for a series of cultural events marking the end of summer and significant national milestones. The month of August includes commemorations of Estonian independence and the Baltic Way.

Key upcoming festivities include the Muinastulede öö (Night of Ancient Fires), where bonfires are lit along the Baltic coast to mark the season's end. Major celebrations are scheduled at the Estonian Maritime Museum in Lennusadam and along the Pirita coastline.

In Tallinn, the Tallinn Fringe Festival will feature street performances and stand-up comedy, while the Kumu Art Museum will host Kumu Rave, an experimental electronic music event. Additionally, musician Taavi Peterson has been performing in Rakvere, including a recent solo concert at the rock pub ‘Kära Kantsis’.
