Estonian economic experts urge long-term marketing and productivity shifts
Experts are highlighting key strategic challenges for the Estonian economy, focusing on international market presence and domestic productivity.
Kadri Gröön, head of marketing and communications at Enterprise Estonia (EIS), emphasizes that Estonian companies must move beyond isolated marketing campaigns to achieve long-term international visibility and trust. She argues that international marketing should be viewed as a continuous investment in market entry and presence rather than a series of one-off projects or trade fair appearances. To succeed, Estonian brands should adapt their narratives to target markets while maintaining their identity, potentially incorporating themes of security, supply chains, and artificial intelligence.
In a separate discussion regarding domestic economic growth, Kadri Mägi-Lehtsi suggests that Estonia's competitiveness cannot rely solely on long working hours. She argues that the debate over remote versus office work is a symptom of a larger management issue, stating that the economy needs to focus on creating more value per hour worked through smarter and more impactful processes.
