Estonian schools prepare for the start of the new academic year

Educational leaders in Tartu are convening to launch the new academic year. The meeting, held at Tartu Tamme Gymnasium, involves city officials including Mayor Urmas Klaas and Deputy Mayor Ulla Preeden. Key priorities for the upcoming year include supporting further education opportunities following the extension of compulsory schooling, increasing focus on engineering and robotics through partnerships with the University of Tartu Delta Centre and the Estonian Engineers' Association, and improving crisis preparedness in schools and kindergartens.

In Saaremaa, various schools are scheduled to hold their opening ceremonies on August 31 and September 1. These ceremonies include institutions such as TalTech Kuressaare College, Kuressaare Vocational School, and several primary and secondary schools across the island, including Muhu, Ruhnu, and Orissaare.
