Estonian University Study Finds Men Reach Sexual Peak in Their 40s

Researchers at the University of Tartu in Estonia examined data from more than 67,000 adults aged 20 to 84. The analysis showed that male sexual desire continues to rise throughout the 20s and does not peak until the late 40s, after which it gradually declines. In contrast, women's sexual desire was found to peak earlier, between the early 20s and early 30s, then slowly falls, with a pronounced drop after age 50.

The study challenges long‑standing myths that men are most sexually active in their 20s and women in their 40s, suggesting a more nuanced age‑related pattern for both sexes.
