Estonian women's curling team secures victory in European Championships
The Estonian women's curling team achieved a significant victory against Turkey during the European Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic. After a narrow 7-8 loss to Lithuania in an extra end during their morning match, the team rebounded in the second session with a decisive 8-2 win over Turkey.
Team captain Marie Kaldvee noted that while the morning loss was disappointing, the team focused on recovering their composure for the evening match. Kaldvee also mentioned that while team cooperation is strong, adapting to the ice conditions has proven more challenging than expected.
Currently sitting in fourth place in Group B with one win and two losses, Estonia is scheduled to face Scotland next in their group stage matches.
