Estonia's Farmi Piimatööstus criminal and tax case closed by prosecutor

The Estonian state prosecutor's office announced the termination of the criminal investigation into Farmi Piimatööstus AS and five associated persons. The case stemmed from a 2020 intra‑group transaction in which Farmi Piimatööstus sold its share of Tere AS to the parent Maag Group, after which both Tere and Farmi Piimatööstus shares were bought by Nordic Milk OÜ, a Maag Group subsidiary. Prosecutors found no grounds to continue the proceedings, stating that all alleged transactions were conducted honestly, recorded correctly in the accounts, and tax obligations were properly declared.

Silver Kaur, chairman of the Maag Food board, confirmed the receipt of the closure order on 24 July and expressed gratitude for the decision, noting that the company can resume normal operations without restrictions.
