Estonia's GDP rises 2.1% in Q2 2026, says Statistics Estonia

Statistics Estonia’s preliminary estimate shows that Estonia’s gross domestic product grew by 2.1% in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier. Service head Robert Müürsepp said the rapid estimate indicates a continuation of the economic revival seen in the first quarter, although the figure is based on econometric models and may differ from the official calculation to be published on 31 August.

Swedbank chief economist Tõnu Mertsina noted that the growth aligns with the bank’s expectations and is driven by strong private consumption, improved purchasing power and investment activity. He cautioned that the estimate could be revised and that GDP remains below the peak reached at the end of 2021.
