Estoril apartment renovated by architect Maurício Nóbrega

Architect Maurício Nóbrega has completed a contemporary renovation of a 200m² apartment in Estoril, Portugal. The project aimed to modernize an outdated residence while maintaining its connection to the past.

The redesigned space features an open layout integrating the hall, living room, and dining area. A notable highlight of the intervention is the installation of an antique tile panel covering the back wall of the dining room. The interior also serves as a gallery for works by famous Portuguese painters, including José Malhoa, Dordio Gomes, Almada Negreiros, and Carlos Botelho, alongside a lithograph by Picasso.

The design blends antique Portuguese family furniture with contemporary pieces, such as a Maxalto dining table and Etel chairs.
