Estoril Classics returns to Autódromo do Estoril with 200 classic cars

The 10th edition of Estoril Classics is returning to the Autódromo do Estoril, featuring over 200 classic cars including Formula 1 models, prototypes, GTs, and touring cars. The event spans three days and includes 14 races and 10 competitions.

A major highlight of this year's edition is the McLaren MP4/1, the first Formula 1 car to utilize a full carbon fiber composite monocoque. This innovation, which debuted in 1981, significantly improved driver safety and structural rigidity. The car is historically linked to Niki Lauda, who returned to Formula 1 to drive for McLaren after being inspired by the MP4/1's technology, eventually winning his third world championship in 1984.
