Estoril signs Spanish defender Xavi Sintes

Estoril has officially signed 25-year-old Spanish central defender Xavi Sintes on a contract lasting until the end of the season. Sintes joins the Portuguese club as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Córdoba CF in the Spanish second division.

Sintes, who was trained at Real Madrid and previously played for Mallorca and Sevilla, brings experience from the UEFA Youth League. He has spent recent time in Portugal recovering from knee surgery. The defender, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, noted that the opportunity to play in the Portuguese top flight represents an interesting challenge for his professional growth.

Sintes described his playing style as being driven by intelligence and concentration, aiming to provide increased defensive solidity to the Estoril squad.
