Estrelas da Casa finalizes pagode group contestants

The musical reality competition ‘Estrelas da Casa’ on TV Globo has finalized its roster of participants. Following the selection of the pop group earlier in the week, the pagode category was completed on Thursday with the selection of 12 contestants.

From an initial group of 16 performers, 12 participants were chosen to officially enter the competition: Arthur Belmonte, Bruna Bento, Dan Ferreira, David Natel, Esther Nunes, Hanaya, Japa, Jefinho, Julliana Franco, Lukinhas, Uel, and Vick Nunes. The public selected Julliana Franco and Uel, while mentors Belo and Anitta chose to save the remaining contestants. Four participants—Arissa, Dandara Luanda, Marquinho, and Oliveira—were eliminated during the process.

During the broadcast, singer Belo, acting as a mentor for the pagode genre, was visibly moved to tears following a performance by a group including Bruna Bento, Dandara Luana, Esther Nunes, and Vick Nunes. The emotional reaction prompted lighthearted commentary from host Ana Clara and advisor Anitta, who jokingly suggested Belo might be ‘acting’ due to his previous experience in television drama.
