Estuaire region wins Gabon U17 national football championship

The Estuaire selection defeated Ngounié 2‑0 in the final of Gabon's U‑17 National Championship on 25 July 2026 at the provincial stadium in Oyem. Goals were scored by competition top scorer Armel Nguema (13th minute) and Mve Akam (90+2). The match was attended by Fegafoot president Pierre‑Alain Mounguengui and new national team coach Sébastien Migné.

Estuaire’s victory earned them the championship trophy and several individual awards: Nguema received the best striker award for his seven goals, Christopher Edzo Obame was named best goalkeeper, and Gregory Esseng received the best player honour. The event was praised by federation officials for its organization and the talent identified by the new national coach.
