Estudiantes club clinches regional titles in football and volleyball

The Estudiantes sports club from Olavarría secured two regional championships in 2026. Its senior football squad captured the Torneo Unión Deportiva Regional Primera División title after overturning a first‑leg loss, winning the second leg away and prevailing in a penalty shoot‑out. Captain Gerónimo Candia highlighted the team's resilience and noted the victory qualifies Estudiantes to represent the Liga de Fútbol de Olavarría in the upcoming Torneo Regional Federal Amateur 2026/27.

The club’s Under‑14 women’s volleyball team also finished undefeated in the Provincial A1 competition, winning all six matches and earning a berth in the national Copa Argentina Sub‑14. Coached by Ana Lía Quintana, the squad defeated host Defensores de Belgrano, Olimpo de Bahía Blanca and Club Junín in the final, and will compete in Chapadmalal in November as one of four provincial representatives.
