Estudiantes officials face sanctions after referee report

Referee Darío Herrera has filed a severe report against Estudiantes de La Plata officials following incidents during the Supercopa Internacional final, where Rosario Central defeated Estudiantes 3-1.

According to the report, Estudiantes president Juan Sebastián Verón entered the pitch without authorization and verbally assaulted the officiating crew. Herrera alleges that Verón used profanities and stated, “Hay que matarlos a todos” (They all must be killed), while accusing the referees of being sent by the Argentine Football Association (AFA).

Other club officials were also cited for aggressive behavior. Vice president Pascual Caiella reportedly directed insults toward the referees and the AFA, while technical secretary Marcos Angeleri was also included in the report for his conduct during the confrontation.
