Esube Wondwossen: Howard University student missing since September 15

Authorities and family members are searching for Esube ‘Izzy’ Wondwossen, a 22-year-old Howard University student from Prince George’s County, Maryland, who has been missing since Tuesday, September 15.

Wondwossen was last seen near the Pentagon Metro station in Arlington, Virginia, around 8:00 a.m. on the day of her disappearance. While her father dropped her at the Branch Avenue Metro station that morning, believing she was commuting to campus, she did not arrive at Howard University. Instead, she was spotted at the Pentagon station, a significant distance from her intended destination.

The Black and Missing Foundation has joined the search, noting that Wondwossen may be in danger. She is described as 5’1”, 110 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes, and a mole above her left eyebrow. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a black zip-up hoodie, leggings, a headband, and Crocs, and was carrying a tan Michael Kors bag.

Prince George’s County police are leading the investigation, which remains active. Her family has expressed a desire for increased urgency in the search efforts.
