Eswatini celebrates 58th Independence Day with international tributes

Eswatini celebrated its 58th Independence Day on September 6, receiving congratulatory messages from several international leaders.

King Charles III of the United Kingdom, alongside Queen Camilla, sent a message to King Mswati III expressing appreciation for the friendship and close partnership between the United Kingdom and Eswatini. The King highlighted the importance of the Commonwealth and the shared values between the two nations, noting that the energy of younger generations inspires hope and progress.

In the United Arab Emirates, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan all extended congratulations to King Mswati III and Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini. This diplomatic outreach follows the recent strengthening of UAE diplomatic representation in the Kingdom, including the appointment of a non-resident ambassador in June.
