Eswatini launches new trade and investment intelligence tools
The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) has launched two new digital intelligence tools designed to improve access to trade and investment data for businesses, exporters, and investors. Developed by the International Trade Centre (ITC) in partnership with EIPA and supported by the European Union, the platforms were officially introduced in Mbabane.
The initiative includes the Investment Attractiveness Dashboard, which aggregates economic, trade, and business environment indicators to help assess Eswatini’s investment potential. The second tool, the Market Intelligence Dashboard, provides practical data to assist businesses in exploring international markets, identifying opportunities, and understanding market-access requirements.
Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo described the tools as fundamental economic assets that can influence investment decisions and government policy. European Union Ambassador Karsten Mecklenburg noted that the initiative strengthens Eswatini’s ability to make evidence-based economic decisions. The launch coincides with the 50th anniversary of the partnership between Eswatini and the European Union.
