Eswatini pastors arrested for multiple alleged sexual offences

In Eswatini, three pastors have been arrested for separate alleged sexual offences within a four-month period, prompting condemnation from religious leadership bodies.

One high-profile case involves Pastor Nkosingiphile Allen Zwane of the Apostolic Faith Church International. Zwane faces charges related to the alleged rape and murder of four women. Investigators claim he used social media and promises of employment to lure victims to the church.

In a separate incident, 33-year-old Phiwayinkhosi Ngwenya appeared before the Manzini Magistrate’s Court facing charges of sexually violating a 15-year-old girl. The alleged incident occurred in the Manzini region in June. Ngwenya was granted bail following his initial remand in custody.
