Eswatini Prime Minister Russell Dlamini Visits Taiwan Renewable Energy Projects

Eswatini Prime Minister Russell Dlamini led a delegation to Taiwan in August 2026, accompanied by senior ministers of natural resources, energy, labor and social security. The group toured the headquarters of Juheng Technology and inspected the Zhiguang Energy fishery‑solar co‑location project, a 114‑hectare site with an initial 85 MW phase and a second 35 MW phase, marking Taiwan’s first large‑scale integrated aquaculture and renewable‑energy installation.

The visit highlighted Taiwan’s progress in solar‑power generation, energy storage, and the H‑ELink energy‑management system, while the project’s smart‑farming technologies have boosted production and reduced climate risks for local aquaculture. Officials emphasized the partnership’s ESG focus and the potential to expand Taiwan’s mature photovoltaic, storage, and smart‑operation expertise to other markets, including Eswatini’s own renewable‑energy ambitions.
