ETAD launches pilot agricultural leasing program in Greece
The Hellenic Public Real Estate Company (ETAD), a subsidiary of the National Development Fund, has launched a pilot program to lease agricultural properties across 11 regional units in Greece. The first phase includes 99 selected properties covering a total area of approximately 2.26 million square meters.
The participating regions include Rodopi, Thessaloniki, Pella, Serres, Imathia, Kastoria, Preveza, Trikala, Euboea, Achaia, and Aetolia-Acarnania. The initiative aims to activate the productive use of public agricultural land, specifically targeting new professional farmers to boost local productivity and rural economic activity.
Interested parties can apply through a new digital service on ETAD’s platform. The leases are strictly for cultivation purposes, with an initial duration of four years and the possibility of an extension for an additional four years, subject to contract compliance and the absence of outstanding debts.
