ETED to perform corrective electrical maintenance in San Juan

The Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica Dominicana (ETED) will conduct corrective maintenance on the San Juan II–Pedro Corto field on Monday, October 5. The intervention follows thermographic monitoring that identified temperature increases in infrastructure components, specifically affecting elements associated with the 69 kV bar at the San Juan II substation.

The work is scheduled from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and will require the temporary opening of the 69 kV bar to ensure technical safety. This maintenance aims to mitigate the risk of equipment failure and maintain the operational reliability of the electrical transmission system.

As a result of the intervention, temporary power outages will affect Vallejuelo, Las Matas de Farfán, Sabaneta, and the municipality of San Juan de la Maguana in San Juan province, as well as various locations in Elías Piña province. The Sabaneta and Domingo Rodríguez hydroelectric plants will also be involved in the operation to ensure necessary safety conditions.
