Eternal Drak releases music video for ‘We Force It to Speak’

The Colombian-Canadian blackened thrash band Eternal Drak has released the official music video for ‘We Force It to Speak’. The track serves as the opening song for their sixth studio album, ‘The Violence of Time’, which was released on July 17.

The album explores the concept of time as an active, hostile force rather than a neutral medium. According to the band, the music reflects the idea that attempts to define or understand reality only serve to distort it. The lyrics and themes are based on a short story written by the band’s primary songwriter, Andres Martinez Torres (also known as Drakar), concerning the impossibility of describing time without altering it.

Musically, the album incorporates elements of thrash, black metal, death metal, and groove, with some influences from Latin folk. The music video utilizes bleak imagery to mirror the track’s shifts between acoustic passages and dense, distorted textures.
