Eternal reports 92% profit increase to ₹125 crore in Q2 FY27

Eternal, the parent company of Zomato and Blinkit, reported a 92% year-on-year increase in net profit for the quarter ending September 30, reaching ₹125 crore compared to ₹65 crore in the same period last year.

Revenue from operations grew by 78% year-on-year to ₹24,138 crore, up from ₹13,590 crore in the previous year. The company's consolidated adjusted EBITDA surged 197% year-on-year to ₹666 crore. Despite the growth, the reported profit fell short of the ₹250 crore estimate provided by CNBC-TV18, leading to a 3.5% drop in share price to ₹308.8.

Total expenses for the quarter rose by 75% year-on-year to ₹24,166 crore. This increase reflects heavy investment in delivery infrastructure, customer acquisition, and logistics to support the expansion of food delivery and quick commerce services through Blinkit.
