Etex receives SBTi approval for emission reduction targets

The international industrial group Etex has received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its short-term emission reduction targets. These goals are designed to align with climate scenarios limiting global warming to 1.5 °C.

Etex has committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 58% by 2032, using 2019 as a baseline. For Scope 3 emissions—which include purchased goods, services, fuel, energy, transport, and upstream distribution—the group aims for a 30% absolute reduction by 2032, relative to 2024 levels.

Pladur, the Spanish brand specializing in dry construction systems and a member of the Etex Group, is integrating these decarbonization goals into its Spanish operations. Pladur reported that by the end of 2025, 100% of its electricity consumption was sourced from renewable energy, including its own photovoltaic installations.
